Right now, I’m focusing on my studies. My favorite hobby is playing with my grandchildren. I also have a cat named Boo! I am passionate about helping those who can’t help themselves.
I attended college in Michigan, and have an associate degree in nursing. I pursued education for drug and alcohol counselor related roles because I am in long term recovery and have a couple family members who are still fighting. I lost a nephew to heroin overdose.
I chose ATI for my educational need because the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I also enjoy the curriculum and accessibility that ATI offers. What I like most about studying at ATI is how willing everyone is to help and guide you. Taking courses online made it so much easier for me obtain my educational goals.
When I become certified, my goal is to work with those that are incarcerated, homeless, and have mental illness. I would like to use my education to help people who are forgotten by society.
