I am currently a SUD supervisor level I. I enjoy surfing and working out. I am single and have no children, but I have a big grey cat who weighs 21 pounds! I am passionate about helping others and being supportive of people. I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Colombia. I attended college in Colombia in South America. I pursued education for drug and alcohol counselor related roles because I am very passionate about helping others and encouraging other to make behavioral changes.

I chose ATI for my education because I needed a program that was easy for me to access and that fit in my schedule. The staff was always nice and helpful. I also love that ATI is fully online. Taking courses online make it easier and quicker for me to complete my educational goals. When I become certified, I am planning to continue to move up in my job and seek more in my career. What I like most about my current job are the people I work with, my clients, and the population we serve.

I would like to use my education to improve what I do by continuing to provide trauma informed care and supporting people with the knowledge I gain. By obtaining certification, I was able to be promoted to a supervisor role. In the future, I want to become a program manager at my current company and be able to move forward with my education by obtaining a Master’s degree.
