Daniel Ide

I am a Group Facilitator of Sound Healing Meditation and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. I am also an Integrative Coach specializing in MER and NLP. In my free time, I am a musician, and I play the congas, bodhran (Irish frame drum). I also practice yoga and bicycling. I live with my partner of 10 years. I am very passionate about educating myself and others about good health, living well, abundance, and perfect self-expression. I have a bachelor’s degree in English/Theatre from Westfield State University in Westfield, Massachusetts.

I wanted to pursue education for drug and alcohol counselor related roles because I am working in this community now. I love the role I am able to play, and I love the clients. I want to learn more so I can do more to help guide each of them to live their authentic dreams. I chose ATI for my educational needs because ATI met my criteria for convenience and price. I live in a rural district, so online learning is the best choice for me. What I appreciate the most about studying at ATI is the time integrity, organization, and professionalism of the course instructors. They are batting a thousand so far. Taking courses online make it easier for me to obtain my educational goals because I am a man of many talents, so fitting the classes and homework into my busy schedule only works by taking these classes online.

Once I become certified, I plan to grow my presence in the mental health and recovery community by continuing what I am doing and expanding into new areas of program development that I believe will benefit all concerned. What I like most about my job is that I wear two hats inside the recovery community. One; as a Sound Healing Meditation practitioner (this I do with my life partner, and I must say we are truly making a difference in the client’s experience in recovery). Two; as a Group Facilitator specializing in Mythology, Archetypes, Logos and Linguistics. I call my group “Wild Woman – Warrior’s Way” (which is also the title for a book I am in the process of writing). Outside of the recovery community, I am an Integrative Coach specializing in MER (Mental Emotional Release) and NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), trained by Dr. Matthew James at Empowerment Inc.

It is an amazing time in human history, so many challenges, and yet so many new, and old, discoveries moving us forward. It really is a mystery. I am confident that all that I am learning now is helping me to claim my own power in contributing to my collective life experience, my philosophy of education, and to my developing program content which, I truly believe, is transforming the way we look at and participate in mental health and recovery services.

I feel like I am where I want to be, and I know that I am still growing and learning on my path of mastering my craft in the mental health and recovery community. My future includes the publication of my book, further development of my cutting-edge programing style, and increased exposure for my work and message in the industry around the nation, and into the whole world of addiction/mental health treatment.
