I am a Counselor SUD/ Juvenile Probation Counselor. My hobbies are going to the gym and hiking. I am about to get married and have 3 stepchildren. I also have 2 dogs and 3 cats. I love both of my jobs and have a passion for helping people. I’m also a huge KC Chiefs fan for 40 years! I have a degree in Law Enforcement and have recently retired. As a former law enforcement officer, probation falls under that umbrella. So, I took a job in Juvenile Probation as a Counselor and fell in love with the job. I somehow knew I wanted to reach out and help more people, so I took on a part-time job as a Counselor at a Recovery Center and equally love assisting people there with SUD.
ATI was referred to me by a friend. I work 6 days a week, so my life is incredibly busy. Online classes allow me to fit school in where I can. With my certification, I plan to continue my education in the Mental Health field. Helping others navigate through issues and assisting them in feeling better about their situation and their decisions for a better life. I will continue to get an education in the field, and I will allow destiny to help lead me into new and exciting paths. I am truly grateful for what I have, as well as grateful for continuing opportunities that come my way because of my continuing education.
