We are deeply committed to empowering you with the support, training, and resources you need to thrive in your career and make a meaningful impact on your clients’ lives. We’re inspired by the unique motivations that drive our students to pursue a future in behavioral healthcare, and we’re honored to be part of their journey. Every month, we spotlight a student who is making strides toward transforming lives and creating positive change in the world.
Our Student of the Month, Abel Aremu, shares his experience with ATI:
I pursued an education to become a drug and alcohol counselor to help, counsel victims suffering from alcohol and drug abuse physically & psychologically. I am a supervisor and help individuals with an intellectual developmental disability find employment services. I attended college in Nigeria where I got my degree in Pure and Applied Mathematics/Master of Art in Mathematics. I’m married and have 3 kids, and I love to listen to music, read the bible, and play football in my free time.
I chose ATI so I can make a great impact in helping and restoring the victims of drugs and alcohol, thereby eradicating the percentage of drug and alcohol users in our society. Taking the course online has helped me obtain my educational goal. I will be using my education to help design the right program for individuals with intellectual disabilities and restore the victims suffering from drug and alcohol abuse.
