We are deeply committed to empowering you with the support, training, and resources you need to thrive in your career and make a meaningful impact on your clients’ lives. We’re inspired by the unique motivations that drive our students to pursue a future in behavioral healthcare, and we’re honored to be part of their journey. Every month, we spotlight a student who is making strides toward transforming lives and creating positive change in the world.

Our Student of the Month, Jamillah Chaney, shares her experience with ATI:

I am currently a Guardian Advocate Program Manager at the Mental Health Association of Central Florida. I love arts and crafts, and I am very passionate about advocating and helping others. I am single with 5 children and have a miniature poodle who lives with my eldest son, named Jasper. I am currently in school getting my master’s degree in clinical Mental Health. My mother is my inspiration; she suffered from Substance and Alcohol Abuse.

I chose ATI because after searching online and speaking to many schools, it was Lulu who helped me make my decision. Her kindness and not being pushy made me decide that this was the best school for me. I like the curriculum and that all the classes are virtual because I was able to balance my family, work, and school life while working online. Obtaining this certificate will help me with my goal, which is to open a recovery home that offers counseling, life skills training, and support with re-entry into society. I also want to help people who suffer from grief, trauma, mental illness, and SUD. I plan to provide guidance in areas like business, homeownership, financial literacy, and faith-based learning for those who want it. I really enjoy advocating for those who cannot do it for themselves.
