We are deeply committed to empowering you with the support, training, and resources you need to thrive in your career and make a meaningful impact on your clients’ lives. We’re inspired by the unique motivations that drive our students to pursue a future in behavioral healthcare, and we’re honored to be part of their journey. Every month, we spotlight a student who is making strides toward transforming lives and creating positive change in the world.

Our Student of the Month, Emily Guillory, shares her experience with ATI:

I am currently a Case Manager at a men’s residential treatment center. I am engaged and have two daughters, a husky and two cats. I love hiking, adventuring, and working out. I am very passionate about helping those who are struggling with addiction and mental health. I am in recovery myself and have struggled with drug addiction and mental illness my whole life. I want to give back and help others find the strength to change their life as I have.

I enrolled in ATI because online classes are a lot more doable with being a full-time employee who also has two children, 3 and under. I love the convenience of the classes as well as the structure and engagement of the professors and other students. I can honestly say that if I had to attend in-person classes on top of my already overloaded schedule, I wouldn’t have chosen to go back to school when I did.

With my certification, I plan on continuing to be a Drug and alcohol counselor in residential treatment. I would like to be able to learn more about how to grow as a counselor, to be the best counselor I can be with my clients. I love being able to connect with and support my clients. I believe that the way a counselor engages with their clients has a huge impact on their overall success in treatment.
