I’m currently the IOP Director and a SUD counselor at Toombs County Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery. I attended Fayetteville State and Regent University, where I obtained a have a a BS in Psychology and a Master’s in Law and Mediation. I love helping people and seeing real changes in their lives. I’m passionate about reducing recidivism and advocating for people with felonies.
I’m married with four kids, and I enjoy going to the beach, reading, singing, and riding horses. We have two cats—a Russian Blue and a Lilac Siamese mix. My hobbies help me relax and balance my busy life.
My employer recommended ATI, and I’ve really enjoyed getting to know other students, learning from various teachers, and gaining more knowledge about alcohol and drug counseling. Taking courses online has been a huge help as I reach my educational goals alongside my career.
In the future, I want to move out west and use my skills in mediation and substance use counseling in a place that supports Alternative Dispute Resolution. I hope to see reentry mediation used across the country and continue helping people with substance use disorders in different settings.
