Our students choose to pursue an education in the behavioral healthcare field for various reasons, and we’re proud to be a part of their journeys toward making a difference. Each month we feature a student who is on the path to truly making an impact on the lives of others.
Our Student of the Month, Jeremy Gilbert, shares his experience with ATI:
As a Primary Group Counselor, I am dedicated to helping others see their value and supporting them on their recovery journeys. My own experience in recovery inspired me to pursue this career, giving back to the community that helped me regain my life. In my free time, I enjoy golfing, which helps me relax and recharge. I obtained my certification through ATI, where the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making my online courses manageable.
I’m currently employed at Elevate Addiction Services. My rewarding work there has allowed me to witness individuals reclaim their lives and fight for sobriety. I am passionate about leveling the playing field in the battle against addiction, which is often underfunded and overlooked. My future goals include creating a labor union for addiction field workers in California and starting a coaching program for people fresh out of rehab. I am committed to continuing this fight, supporting those striving to overcome addiction, and ensuring they receive the respect and resources they deserve.
